As far as corporate gigs go, Nordstrom is a treat. The scenery is nice and they give me the latitude to play pretty much whatever I want. This is an hour of nu-disco and house from a live recording I made during an in-store set a couple weeks ago.
March KGOT Mini mix
I made a 20 minute mini mix for local Clear Channel affiliate KGOT earlier this week. Only six songs, so I used some remixes by homies and DJs who frequently pop up in my live sets and mixes.
Here it is, enjoy!
I lead off with this cool Foo Fighters remix by Louis LaRoche. Dude has a great sound and I also used a track from him on Overboard. Looks it's no longer available for D/L, but hit me w. an email and I'll send it to you.
Next up is this house remix of J. Cole's "Work Out" by Fool's Gold's Sammy Bananas. He hit the D/L limit, but you can still grab it here.
The third track is DJ Scooter's remix of Drake and Rihanna's "Take Care." You're going to have to buy this one (or know where to look for it) so I'll just let you watch this promo video. Scooter is on Sleeping Giant w. the homie Mike Czech and I heard he is coming through Anchorage soon too.

Up next I went into remix of Dev's "Dancing in the Dark" by D-JR / DJ Circle. I got a chance to link with D-JR last year on a trip to LA. He dates a chick from Alaska (shout out to V from Hydaburg) and even put me onto this ridiculous piece of music.
I've had the pleasure of sharing the decks with the homie DJ Evil One several times. He was Anjulie's tour DJ for a while last year and put together this remix of her cut "Brand New Bitch" with Tallservo.
I finished it off with DJ Scene's remix of Usher's "Climax." Diplo's production on the original is super dope, but I was trying to keep it on the house music tip. Scene is originally from Seattle and his remixes always crush it in the club. It got bumped off Soundcloud already, but you can still get it here. Scene used to compete as a battle DJ, here's a video of him getting down.
Shane O'Grady and DJ Spun - Live Rong House mix
Savvy readers will remember when the homie Shane O'Grady from Rong Music came to town last summer.
He just sent me a link to a recent live set featuring him along with Rong's other label head, DJ Spun.
Says Shane, "Here's mix from the other night in BK. It's all me - slow tunes into "Tiger Stripes", then Jason the rest. a little heads-up of what i play when the night is young. no mixing, and the recorder was plugged directly into the Urei and not out the Isolator, so the full eq'd effect is not on, but the programming is nice and selection mighty fine, if i may say. easy listening... enjoy"
